Boat Transport Of The Month
August, 2007
Overview
The proud owners of this 37 Nordic tug originally contacted us in regards to transporting their trawler from Harrison Township Michigan to Satsuma Florida because they knew they had a very tall Boat. This is especially true when you are moving an oversize Boat in Michigan due to the difficult routing and low overpasses involved in transporting a Boat in that state. The trailer used was a Waltron 53 footer that has a 16 foot stretch built into the trailer. Being able to stretch the belly of the trailer allowed us to load the Boat for transport with the keel perfectly level. When transporting a Boat it is always better to be able to load it as low as possible. There are two reasons for this, first being it is safer to keep the Boat as low as possible to avoid overpasses and utility lines. When transporting a Boat as low as possible an added bonus is that often times it reduces the costs of the transport to the owner. This is possible because when a Boat is above the states legal limit, no pole car is needed to transport the Boat. Inches really matter in this crazy world of ours. This Boat Transport went off without a hitch, the owners are happy not only with their new purchase, but the stress free relocation that was required to get her home.
Customer Review
After having made the purchase of the 37' Nordic Tug, "Red Rover", in Mt. Clemens Michigan. Hay's Marine Transport took over the task of transporting my Boat to my home state of Florida, and the St. Johns River. All went very well, with good communication the whole way. I recommend Hays Marine for their Boat Transport services!
Thanks again for a great job.
