How Our Boat Transport Service Works

To accurately prepare a Boat Transport quote we need to determine the dimensions, The point where we will be loading the Boat, and of coarse the destination. The reason we need the dimensions is each individual state where we will be traveling through to move your Boat has their own regulations and rules we need to follow. The rules we take into account while preparing a Boat Transport quote are the routes we will need to use while hauling your Sailboat or Yacht, and the escorts needed if any.
Since we are primarily dedicated to moving large oversize Boats we almost always are in need of escorts. Some of the other costs that may incure while transporting your Boat are the possibility of needing police escorts, or route surveys. A route survey is when the state determines that we need to run the proposed route prior to applying for permits. This is to determine if the height of your Boat is exceeding the height of any obstructions along that route. Once the route has been determined appropriate for the size of your Boat, the state in question will issue a permit.
One other point is that a quote is based on the available knowledge known at the time of the quote. Meaning the quote is based on route used at the time of the transportation quote. If for some reason we get rerouted off that route due to road construction and sent on secondary roads, we will run into additional miles and the possibility of the state issuing that permit requiring another escort. This can be inconvenience, that does run the cost of the Boat Transport up.
Once you receive the quote and contract with us to haul your Boat all that is needed is for you to sign the contract, fill out the section that pertains to the pick-up and delivery address and fax it back to us at 813-979-2933. There is a deposit that needs to be posted to your account to complete the contract and get you in the Boat Transport schedule.
We will be communicating with both the marinas involved and yourself as to how we are doing in the schedule. We call during transport to keep you abreast as to how the truck is doing. If any thing comes up that changes the situation in anyway such as road construction, weather etc. we will be contacting you as soon as possible.
